Over the last few years Elgin Brown & Hamer has grown in stature and size. In line with the group’s ongoing commitment to servicing the requirements of our clients and increasing growth of our business a floating dock was purchased by Elgin Brown and Hamer and came into commission in April 1999. Eldock is the first privately owned dock in South Africa. However, as with all other ship repair companies, Elgin Brown and Hamer also has access to the state-owned graving and floating dock facilities operated by the National Ports Authority.
